Cochrane Farmers' Market at the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site Are you interested in becoming a vendor at the Cochrane Farmers’ Market?  We have opportunities for Full-Time, Part-Time or Youth vendors.  We also welcome Community Groups and Buskers to the market.

Vendor Prequalification

NEW vendors interested in attending the Cochrane Farmers’ Market in 2017 are encouraged to submit information about their product(s) by completing the Vendor Prequalification form. This is for vendors that have not previously been approved or have not attended the Cochrane Farmers’ Market in the past year.

Vendor Options

The Cochrane Farmers’ Market offers several vendor options.

  • Full-Time Vendor

Full Time vendors have a stall at the market each week for the entire season. All Full Time opportunities have been filled for the 2017 Season.

Part-Time Vendor

Part-Time vendors can select the weeks they would like to have a stall at the market.

  • Part-Time Youth Vendor

If you are fifteen (15) years of age or younger, you may qualify as a youth vendor.

  • Community Group (no fee)

Community groups are invited to participate in the market free of charge. This application form includes both Saturday and Street Market dates.

  • Busker (no fee)

The market is open to all forms of street entertainment.

  • Cochrane Street Markets 2017 – June 15, July 20, August 17, September 14

After a successful 2016 trial, the market will be heading to Historic Downtown Cochrane for four Thursday evening markets in 2017. Markets run 5:00pm – 9:00pm on 1st Street West.

  • Christmas Market 2017 – ‘Last Minute Christmas Market’

Vendors for our Christmas market are pre-approved, applications are available only to invited vendors.  Priority is given to vendors with “Make, Bake and Grow” products.  If you are interested in becoming a vendor at our Christmas Market, complete a 2017 Vendor Prequalification form and forward to:  market@cochrane-environment.org  Vendors that meet the criteria will be invited to submit a Vendor application.

Limited spaces are available for Community Groups, submit a request to the market email provided above.

Farmers’ Market Information Package– this publication outlines AHS requirements for vendors selling food products at Approved Farmers’ Markets.

Home Study for Farmers’ Market:  all food vendors must be certified for the handling of food, successful completion of the home study course is for acceptable for those selling at an Alberta Approved Farmers’ Market.

Temporary Handwashing Stations:  this publication provides criteria for acceptable handwashing stations.
