Branches and Banks 13th Annual Tree Plant

The 13th annual Branches and Banks Tree Plant and Creek Cleanup took place on Saturday, May 10th.  Volunteers arrived at 9:00 am ready to plant close to 1,500 trees and cleanup the Big Hill and Jumping Pound Creek banks. Cows & Fish, and CEAC set up educational displays to highlight the value of riparian habitats, and volunteers were treated to a bar-b-q lunch to finish off the day.
 
Branches and Banks has planted close to 32,000 trees along the banks of Cochrane’s rivers in an effort to restore and protect riparian health.
