Aggregate Exploration and Extraction Policy Workshop

CEAC was very eager to host a workshop about municipal aggregate exploration and extraction policies.  We brought together over 60 individuals who are affected by aggregate extraction operations, including industry and municipalities to begin a much needed dialogue about municipal policy.

IMG_0684-CThe workshop was focused on learning more about municipal aggregate exploration and extraction policies.  In the morning there were sessions from municipalities, citizens, ENGOs, consultants and industry.  In the afternoon the participants worked together to resolve three important questions raised by municipalities about our values for aggregate from social, cultural, economic and environmental perspectives.  Workshop proceedings will inform local municipal decision-makers.

The full day workshop was held on Monday May 25, 2015  at the Cochrane Ranchehouse
